These two cases involve claims under fire insurance policies issued by the defendants. The cases were originally brought in the Sixth Division District Court where judgments were entered for the defendants. The plaintiff appealed to the Superior Court, and the cases were consolidated for trial and heard before a justice of that court sitting with a jury.
