The Jefferson Parish School Board brought suit against Rowley Co., Inc. under terms of a contract wherein Rowley was to furnish and install science equipment in West Jefferson High School. After the equipment was delivered, but before it was installed, a fire destroyed a portion of the equipment worth $36,148.15. The School Board seeks recovery of this amount alleging that Rowley has refused to replace the damaged science equipment at no cost to plaintiff...
