On October 19, 1968, the plaintiff brought this civil action to recover the unpaid balance alleged to be due on six promissory notes made by the defendant and payable to the plaintiff. The case was heard in April 1970, before a justice of the Superior Court without a jury and resulted in a decision for the plaintiff.
