Hamilton was put to trial upon a two count indictment charging (1) grand larceny and (2) buying, receiving and concealing stolen property. The property involved in this case was a 1966 two-door Cadillac convertible automobile. At arraigment, attended by court-appointed counsel, he pleaded not guilty.
