OPINION

KELLEHER, Justice.

This petition to foreclose a taxpayer's right of redemption was brought pursuant to the pertinent provisions of G.L. 1956 (1970 Reenactment) ch. 9 of title 44. It was heard and granted by a justice of the Superior Court. The respondents have appealed. Hereafter, we shall refer to the litigants by their last names.
