By assignment of error number one the plaintiff contends the trial court erred when it "omitted the date of taking in its instruction on determining market value." We do not agree. When an entire parcel of land is to be taken by eminent domain, the proper measure of damages is the fair market value of the land at the time of the taking. G.S. § 136-112(2).
