McALLISTER, Justice.

The plaintiff, Vi Pitcher, brought this action to recover damages for injuries sustained in an automobile collision allegedly caused by the negligence of the defendant Ronald Leathers.

In response to a motion by plaintiff for a directed verdict the court found as a matter of law that defendant was negligent in failing to keep a proper lookout and directed a verdict for plaintiff. The jury then awarded plaintiff general and special damages...
