Defendant in this case was convicted for passing counterfeit $10 bills, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 472 (1970). He received two concurrent two-year terms.

Appellant's position at trial was that he passed these bills, but that he had won them in gambling encounters and that he had no knowledge that they were counterfeit. The government produced an agent, who testified, after qualification...
