Plaintiff, Edmund R. Vales, filed suit to recover $4,800 in liquidated damages for the breach of a written agreement to buy real estate. Named defendants1 were Harold E. Doley, the purchaser who allegedly defaulted, and D. M. Greenup, doing business as D. M. Greenup Realty Company, the broker who submitted to plaintiff the signed offer to buy.
