The Secretary of Labor brought this action under § 17 of the Fair Labor Standards Act, 29 U.S.C. § 201 et seq., seeking to enjoin the defendant from violating the equal pay provisions of the Act. The defendant served a deposition subpoena and written interrogatories on the Secretary, requesting the Secretary to produce investigative reports and notes made by Department of Labor compliance officers, to reveal the identities of persons...
