Appeal is from a conviction in a trial before a jury of knowingly attempting to pass as true a forged instrument in writing. Punishment was assessed at five years.

Appellant was arrested at approximately 1:30 P.M., June 28, 1972, at Teller Driveup Window No. 7 of the First National Bank of Amarillo. The arrest was made on the basis of information from the American National Bank of Amarillo received by Officer Jimmy Stevens...
