A jury found Willie Bell guilty of two federal narcotic offenses1 and, additionally, of carrying a pistol without a license.2 On these appeals, one from the judgment of conviction3 and the other from denial of a motion for a new trial,4 Bell argues a number of grounds for reversal.5
