Appellant DeLoach and a co-defendant, Harry Jackson, were tried on an indictment charging each with the first degree murder1 of two individuals, Francis Harper and Brenda Willis, and with carrying an unlicensed pistol.2 The jury acquitted Jackson of all charges but convicted DeLoach of two counts of second degree murder3 and of the weapons charge...
