Joan Nichols, the surviving wife of Raymond L. Nichols, brought a wrongful death action against Herbert A. Marshall, the administrator of the estate of Frank W. Frombaugh, in the United States District Court for the District of Kansas. Frombaugh, Raymond Nichols and the latter's mother-in-law were all killed as the result of an automobile collision of tragic proportions on the Kansas Turnpike.
