The defendants were tried together to a jury, and appeal from their convictions under G.L.c. 278, §§ 33A-33G. Monroe and Williams were convicted on indictments charging each of them with armed robbery, assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, armed assault with intent to murder, kidnapping, larceny of a motor vehicle, and unlawfully carrying a weapon. Hogg was convicted on a single indictment...
