The sole issue in this appeal is whether the appellant's religious beliefs and practices placed an undue hardship on the United States Postal Service thereby justifying his dismissal as a flexible part-time clerk. The District Court dismissed Johnson's suit brought under § 717 of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (42 U.S.C.A. § 2000e-16(a)),1 finding that the Postal Service could not accommodate the appellant's demands...
