LEVINSON, Justice.

The defendants-appellants Pokini and Moore were jointly tried and subsequently convicted and sentenced to thirty years in prison for their alleged parts in a robbery of the Oahu Sugar Company by several armed individuals on April 28, 1972. On appeal they raise a variety of substantial claims that their right to a fair trial was denied, and therefore that we must reverse their convictions and sentences.
