BYRD, Justice.

For reversal of his second degree murder conviction, appellant Robert Vault contends among other things that the trial court erred in failing to suppress a statement allegedly made by him.

The record shows that appellant was 16 years of age at the time of his arrest. His mother employed appellant's present lawyer to represent him. The lawyer went to the jailhouse shortly after appellant's arrest — some time around 6:00 p. m. The lawyer...
