This appeal arises from a boundary dispute. The plaintiffs and defendants share a north-south boundary with the plaintiffs owning the northernmost property. They brought an action for trespass alleging inter alia that agents of the defendants had cut a fence recognized as the common boundary line between the property of the respective parties in order to enter on the land of plaintiffs and to fell certain trees.
