This is an appeal by the defendants-Kellys from a judgment entered on March 20, 1973, by the circuit court of St. Louis County following a jury verdict awarding defendants-Kellys the sum of $2,750.00 as compensation for the taking of certain property by the State Highway Commission and requiring the defendants to pay the difference plus interest between $2,750.00 and $8,000.00 which was awarded by the commissioners and withdrawn by the defendants...
