Appellant, Ms. Jean Carmichael, was convicted on two counts of violating 18 U.S.C.A. § 1343 and one count of violating 18 U.S.C.A. § 2314.1 The sum and substance of these violations was that appellant devised a scheme to defraud Ms. Laura Harris, Ms. Vonna McNiff, and Mr. Heywood Allen out of a total of $17,500.00 by means of false and fraudulent pretenses.
