This is an action based on a claim of negligence brought about by the plaintiff's injury from a fall in the defendant's Montpelier store. The jury returned a verdict in Miss Shea's favor, and the defendant has appealed.

The appeal raises but two issues, both relating to the defendant's eligibility for a directed verdict in its favor. Both relate to negligence. The first contends that the evidence, even taken in the light most favorable
