The defendant, Floyd J. Fontenot, was charged by Bill of Information with violation of La.R.S. 14:64, armed robbery. He was found guilty by a twelve man jury on February 8, 1973. On September 7, 1973, the defendant was sentenced to be confined for a period of twenty years at hard labor without benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence in the custody of the Louisiana Department of Corrections...
