Memorandum Findings of Fact and Opinion

TANNENWALD, Judge:

Respondent determined a deficiency of $1,050 in petitioner's income tax for the calendar year 1970. The issue for decision is whether petitioner is entitled to a loss arising out of certain transactions involving United States Savings Bonds.

Petitioner resided in Chicago, Illinois, at the time he filed his petition herein.
