This is an expropriation proceeding. The taking was occasioned by and for the purpose of the construction of highway Interstate 10 over property belonging to defendant, Merritt P. Evans, Jr. in Ascension Parish, Louisiana. The Lower Court rendered judgment in favor of defendant, Merritt P. Evans, Jr. and against plaintiff, State of Louisiana through The Department of Highways, in the sum of $154,093.00...
