Appellants Nilson, McCoy, Campbell, Watford and Johnson were found guilty of armed robbery and related offenses by a jury at a joint trial in the Criminal Court of Baltimore. The convictions of each appellant, except Watford, were affirmed on appeal by the Court of Special Appeals in an unreported per curiam decision (Nilson, et al. v. State, No. 138, Sept.
