Ronald Powell, the defendant, was indicted by the grand jury of Tazewell County for the offenses of burglary, aggravated battery, and felony escape. Pursuant to negotiations he entered pleas of guilty to these charges, which were accepted and he was then sentenced to concurrent terms in the penitentiary of not less than three (3) nor more than nine (9) years...
