The facts in this case are essentially undisputed. In the early morning hours of January 1, 1972 three young women, Kathleen Hannon, Debbie Perrin, and Debbie Hennessey were traveling in Miss Hannon's automobile in suburban Detroit. Near the intersection of Ford and Inkster Roads, the vehicle was stopped by the Garden City Police. Miss Hannon was issued a citation for speeding.
