The plaintiff, Nora Burns Paxton, sought damages for personal injuries sustained when she fell over a display rack at the Cotton Boll Market in Shreveport, Louisiana, on October 10, 1971. After trial, the district court denied recovery, finding the plaintiff guilty of contributory negligence. The Court of Appeal affirmed.
