On July 28, 1972, a trial justice in the Superior Court found that Martin N. Bettencourt and Henri I. Lemoi had violated the terms of deferred sentences imposed upon them in 1970 following their pleas of nolo contendere to separate charges of breaking and entering a building in the nighttime with intent to commit larceny.
