Plaintiff is the assignee of the charterer of the motorship Valhall. (Hereinafter plaintiff's assignor will be referred to as plaintiff.) Plaintiff chartered this vessel on April 16, 1970, for a voyage from Gdynia, Poland, to Santa Marta, Colombia.
