The sole question before the court is the construction of that portion of the statutory sheriffs' fee bill, section 1(b) of the Act of May 9, 1949, P. L. 927, as amended (the 1949 Act). 16 PS §11301(b), that provides for the payment of poundage to the sheriff on a sale of land pursuant to a writ of execution.
