OPINION BY JUDGE KRAMER, March 7, 1974:

This is an appeal by William J. Knox, Jr. (Knox) from an order of the Unemployment Compensation Board of Review (Board) which affirmed the referee's denial of benefits to Knox.

Knox had been employed by H.K. Porter Company (Porter) for 17 years when he was laid off due to the permanent closing of the plant in which he worked. Knox applied for and received unemployment compensation for approximately two and one-half months...
