On Sunday, May 21, 1972 Joseph L. Warram, an officer with the Kennett Square Police Department, was completing a plain clothes assignment and was returning to the police station to go off duty. As will be discussed in more detail hereafter, a tragic incident occurred in which a young girl was shot by Officer Warram.
