Defendant, Elbert Davis, was charged by indictment with the murders of Willie Foster and Mary Patterson. A jury found defendant guilty of voluntary manslaughter of Willie Foster and guilty of the murder of Mary Patterson. He was sentenced to a term of twenty to forty years for the murder conviction and a concurrent term of eight to twenty years...
