This action was initiated by plaintiff-appellant Clyde J. Johnson to recover damages for injuries allegedly sustained when his motor vehicle was struck from behind by a twenty-passenger bus owned by defendant-respondent Clearwater Stage Lines, Inc. Prior to the accident, which occurred on August 2, 1968, both vehicles had been heading east on U.S. Highway 12, a highway with one traffic lane in each direction.
