OPINION

BUSSEY, Judge:

Appellant, James Otis Savage, hereinafter referred to as defendant, was charged with the offense of Maiming, tried and convicted in the District Court, Oklahoma County, Case No. CRF-73-1817, with the offense of Aggravated Assault. In accordance with the jury verdict, he was sentenced to serve one (1) year imprisonment in the County Jail and to pay a fine of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00)...
