Rhodes, deceased, sought a declaratory judgment as to the correct construction of a life insurance policy issued by Republic National Life Insurance Company (the Company) through its predecessor, Pacific National Life Assurance Company. The Company admitted coverage, but argued that its liability was limited to $3,000, rather than $26,625.30 as claimed by...
