Plaintiff (appellant), Mary Mann, slipped and fell in the Twin Falls Safeway Store on October 11, 1970. As a result of the fall, she suffered a broken hip. Together with her husband, Alexander Mann, she filed suit against the defendant (respondent), Safeway Stores, Inc., alleging that the proximate cause of her fall and resulting injuries was the negligent manner in which defendant maintained its floor.
