OPINION
DUNIWAY, Circuit Judge:
It is the practice of the Supreme Court of California, when it denies a petition for a writ of habeas corpus, to enter a very brief order, usually, as in these cases, merely stating "Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus denied." A postal card notice, reciting the denial, is then sent to the petitioner. Such orders are generally referred to as "postcard denials."
