In a bench trial, this habeas corpus petitioner was convicted of the murder of Harvey Weinstein and received a 20-30 year sentence, which was affirmed on appeal. People v. Mattox, 96 Ill.App.2d 148, 237 N.E.2d 845 (1st Dist. 1968). Leave to appeal to the Supreme Court of Illinois was denied on January 27, 1969.
