Defendant Jalbert, a college graduate who had also had one year in law school and had been a special agent of the F. B.I., became a Dover, New Hampshire businessman with interests in several enterprises. He was convicted, after a jury trial, of filing false income tax returns in violation of 26 U.S.C. § 7201 for the years 1968, 1969 and 1970.
