Widowed at age 23, Diana Gottman, together wtih her two infant sons, filed suit against the defendant, Norris Construction Company, for the wrongful death of her husband, Robert Eugene Gottman, who was killed on U. S. Highway 136, east of Lancaster, Missouri, in a single car, one occupant accident, on November 29, 1970. Plaintiffs received a verdict and judgment in the sum of $50,000.00 on June 28, 1973.
