Bruce L. Bass III was convicted on five counts of violating 21 U.S.C. §§ 843 and 846 (1970):1 counts I, III, and IV charged Bass with obtaining a controlled substance, Demerol, by forging or altering a prescription; count II charged Bass with attempting to obtain Demerol upon a forged prescription, and count V charged Bass with obtaining Demerol through prescriptions...
