We granted certiorari to review a decision of the Court of Appeals which held that Breckenridge Company, as a joint venturer on a contract for the sale of land, was liable to claimants-respondents for workmen's compensation under C.R.S. 1963, 81-9-2(1). Breckenridge Co. and Division of State Compensation Insurance Fund v. Beyers, Lowe and Industrial Commission of Colorado, 33 Colo.App. ___, 517 P.2d 476 (1973).
