STEINFELD, Justice.

Appellant Donald Shanks was convicted on two counts of illegal possession of narcotic drugs. KRS 218.020. He was sentenced to serve 20 years in the penitentiary and fined $1000 on one count and was sentenced to serve five years and fined $250 on the other count, the sentences to be served consecutively. He appeals. We reverse.1
