Earl Craver appeals from the denial of his petition for a writ of mandate. Appellant injured his back in 1959 while working as a police officer. He thrice applied to the board of pension commissioners for a disability pension, claiming that his back injury made it impossible for him to perform the regular duties of a police officer.
