In this case a declaratory judgment is sought by Port Arthur Towing Company [PATCO], the lessee-assignee and successor to the original lessee of a tract of land in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana, against Owens-Illinois, Inc. [Owens], lessor-vendee and successor in title to the original lessors. PATCO asked the court to declare that the lease was in full force and effect.
