Loyd J. Gilliam and wife, Alta, seek damages from George Alcala Gonzales resulting from an automobile collision in Sweetwater, Texas. The Gonzales vehicle, driven by George Alcala Gonzales, struck the Gilliam vehicle, driven by Loyd J. Gilliam, from the rear as it attempted a left turn.
