This is an expropriation proceeding. The taking was occasioned by and for the purpose of the contemplated construction of Interstate 220, a bypass to the north of Interstate 20 through the City of Shreveport. The property affected, owned by defendant, is a tract approximately 250 feet wide and extends westerly from the Greenwood Road (U. S. Highway 80), a distance exceeding a half mile.
